Block Video Library from being browsed/played?
Hello. I would like to restrict kids from going to the video library and browsing or playing the movies contained within. But I would also like to option of browsing or playing those videos when I would like to. Is this possible for MCE on Windows 7? Thanks!

I think (?) Media Browser/Emby has this through parental controls/user accounts for their WMC plugin. I can't tell you for sure as I'm a Plex user so I don't use it. As for default in WMC - no, I don't believe you can.

MyMovies allows for parental controls via PIN.

I have never had a single problem with it and consider it one of the best WMC plugins I've ever used.DavidinCT wrote:I don't, installed and had nothing but problems with it...LuckyDay wrote:I definitely recommend MyMovies.
That's the nature of WMC unfortunately, many of the methods and software associated with it seem to be hit or miss depending on a variety of factors.

I tried MyMovies, but it seems to only support movies in seperate folders. I am trying to block a single folder of many avi, mov, mkv, etc... Will it do that too? Thanks.
