XBox 360 failure with WMC 7
I had to rebuild my HTPC running Windows 7 x64 because of a bad hard drive. I replaced the hard drive and now when I try to use my XBox 360 with it doesn't work. Any idea as to what's wrong and how to fix it? I'm not running any kind of security software (AntiVirus, non-WIndows Firewall, etc). I get the following error in Event Viewer:

Have you installed all updates?
Did you attempt to add the extender in WMC?
Looks like your Xbox still has the SID associated with your old drive.

Years ago when I 1st built my HTPC I made an image of the hard drive after I had everything set up the way I wanted it.. When my hard drive went bad. I loaded that image onto the new hard drive. Could that be the source of the problem? If it is, how do I fix it?

Right-click on the Computer icon in the start menu, click Manage. Select System Tools-->Local Users and Groups-->Users. Right click on a user and select delete.lordon wrote:Where do you find these MCX accounts?

The MCX accounts seem not to exist on my HTPC. I''d attach a JPG to show this but I can't figure out how with this software.

Well that isn't right. 2 more suggestions: Create a new user account with administrator level control and try adding extenders, if that doesn't work reinstall windows. You had similar issues nearly a year ago http://www.thegreenbutton.tv/forums/vie ... 192#p75192 what resolved it then?

I fixed it the last time by reinstalling Windows but that caused problems. A lot of formerly accessible directories on my C: drive gave permission errors and none of the ways listed to solve them worked. And any attempt to install new programs failed.cwinfield wrote:Well that isn't right. 2 more suggestions: Create a new user account with administrator level control and try adding extenders, if that doesn't work reinstall windows.
