Guide Tool or equivalent in Windows 8?

I have cablecards with many missing channels. I have notified zap2it, but I don't expect them to completely fix it. I wanted to try guide tool but I was wondering if it works with windows 8?

I can't get guide tool to connect to the localhost. win 8.1 x64

the older version may not work on windows 8. what version are you running?, get the latest version and try that.

Where are they missing, in the WMC guide listing? In the tuner software scan listing? or in the cablcard? or maybe the channel is listed but don't work. All these are different problems, we can only assume that you mean the channel are missing from the WMC guide.

EDIT: Sorry i did not notice this is an old post i got to from a search i guess. My bad
