Get my Guide correct

#1

Post by pcrequest » Tue Jan 14, 2014 9:12 pm

My goal is to get my guide correct so I can dvr programs. I have two sources.
1. over ther air ATSC for locals in HD
2. "amenity" analog cable channels my apartment offers.

I had been running 1 for a long time with no problem. I added a second tuner to plug in 2 recently. I run a setup TV Signal in settings. It correctly ID's my 2 tuners and their sources. It does NOT correctly present my lineup. My lineup is specific to my building. It is provided by am3inc.com. I see am3's other buildings in the nieghborhood, but they are totally different lineups. If I try them, my guide is way off, since I must pick a cable lineup. If I edit the lineup, I can get channel numbers and channel names, but they don't have any program schedule data.

What's the best way to get a functional guide?

I think WMC guide data comes from Zap2it. If you go there, do they show your listings correctly? If not, you can contact them to request they fix it. Will they or how long it will take is out of anyone's control.

Yeah! I got my guide correct. Zap2it added my building's lineup in less than a week, and my guide is perfect in Media Center now. Thanks for the tip!

New issue though. My timers are set to record certain programs on specific channels. For example Big Bang Theory on channel 4.1 only (ATSC off air antenna) in HD. However Big Bang Theory records on channel 4 instead from SD cable. Happens with all my programs. They are all set to record on the hd channel only...seems like a bug.
