It seems that when I record a program that my timing is behind a minute or two. I have tried to got to the time settings are update my time via the internet time server (time.windows.com?) seems like its updating it but it still two minutes behind what my cell phone says the time is. If I manually change it it falls back later to two minutes behind.
Is there a way to have WMC start recordings early? or change the time sync to something more accurate? I know in window 2000 long ago there was a way to specify your time server and the frequency of checked it made for the correct time.

In addition to fixing your clock, you can also change the settings for recordings here:
In the Media Center User Interface: Tasks/Settings/TV/Recorder/Recording Defaults/Start When Possible

This. You can change this setting to begin recording 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, or 15 minutes before the show starts.DanH wrote:In addition to fixing your clock, you can also change the settings for recordings here:

I've been using Karen's Time Sync for years and it work like a charm. There's a huge choice of time servers and I set it to sync every 30 minutes.
