Hi,
In the past couple of weeks I have started experiencing live TV breaking up/freezing.
I've got a TBS6981 DVB S2 on UK Freesat.
First time this happened I resumed it from sleep and PC couldn't find my secondary HDD, so would not play live TV as no buffer was available.
Rebooted and drive was detected again, all good. Then TV started breaking up.
Powered off the PC and checked signal strength on TV upstairs (different cable but coming from same sat dish) which was OK.
After checking that put PC back on and everything was OK for about another week.
Last week it was playing up again so I ran a chkdsk /f /r on the buffer drive, which did report it made changes to the file system.
Also plugged in the extra molex power lead for the TBS card.
Ran OK like that for another few days.
This evening TV was freezing every couple of minutes.
I have plugged the old Sky box in and checked signal strength on that - it was locked and really good quality.
Watching TV - no issues for the past hour.
Signal quality was always OK before, never had any issues.
Anybody got any ideas?
Cheers
Channel quality - keeps freezing

It's possible that your hard drive (or disk controller) is failing.
