New TBS6284 quad DVB-T2 tuner
Looks like this could be a nice Freeview HD card, hopefully it will be a bit cheaper than the BlackGold one.
It's a shame that it's a full height card though........

It fills a gap sorely lacking in the UK and Irish markets. This is ideal for a tuner server or similar.

The one part that I like about the BlackGold product, is that it only requires 1 aerial feed - can't tell from the picture of the TBS product, whether its 2 or 4 feeds.

8. RF-Input Impedance 75Ω (IEC-DIN female)
9. RF-Output Impedance 75Ω (IEC-DIN male)
Looks like its two twins so its two inputs. Kinda makes sense if you have more then one aerial input source, two tuners for each.

Maybe it will work like the old Pinnacle 3010ix/7010ix cards and have internal combining circuitry?

The thread below has some pictures, including one showing a short (circa 3-inch) co-axial patch lead connecting the output of one dual-tuner to the input of the other dual-tuner:holidayboy wrote:Maybe it will work like the old Pinnacle 3010ix/7010ix cards and have internal combining circuitry?

This suggests that there is no internal connection between the two dual-tuners.

How thin (read unshielded) is that 'bridge' cable?! I suppose a custom replacement would be simple build, however I would probably give it two dedicated feeds from my TV amplifier.
I'm really interested in this product, hopefully it won't be twice the price of a dual card.
Does anybody have any experience of TBS products?
