I started getting the message "Display driver error - The video playback device does not support playback of protected content" when trying to watch TV through WMC.
Maximizing/Minimizing the window fixes the error. This started occurring after an upgrade to 8.1 through the Windows Store link, but not until sometime after the upgrade. No hardware was changed, but in trying to diagnose the problem, I did try rolling back the video driver for my video card. That did not work.
I have carefully followed the steps in this thread: http://www.thegreenbutton.tv/forums/vie ... set#p36116
The cleandrmlog shows success in removing several files, but the problem subsists.
Any suggestions?

I came searching for a solution to this exact problem... EXCEPT I haven't yet upgraded to 8.1.
TBS and several other channels (which are marked copy-protected) have stopped working for some unknown reason.
For reference, I watch TV through my Xbox where I am seeing this error.
Watching on the WMC it self shows no "Display Error" problems.
Ideas?

On my set up, the Xbox gets the same unable to open pop up.
A separate computer connected to the same network and running windows 8.1 with WMC tunes the networked tuners just fine.
