It probably doesn't do much with copy protected content, right? That still leaves about 85% or what I watch so I may want to give this a whirl.

Why's it in the google play store if it is for iPad?

remote potato was the ipad app, but it never made it to android. instead they got remote media center which used the remote potato back end but was actually better (had live tv i think). remote mediacenter now appears to be coming to ipad, hurrah!

Thanks for bringing an option to iPad but GUI (judging by the screenshots) does not look like it was designed yet

If you need testers, I'm able to test on iPad1, iPad 2 and iPad4 but I'm hoping GUI displayed here is early development version.

I can also test it. IPAD 2 jailbroken, so I can run anything. plus I know how to dance with the router and control ports and assigned fixed addresses too.

Although available in the app store now, design is not top notch. But hey, live TV works as does playing and downloading video/recorded TV.
