Two tuners... one antenna

#1

Post by boogmeister1 » Mon Oct 10, 2011 4:35 pm

I finally broke down and bought a second HD tuner for my WMC. With my one tuner I had all green bars on the meter, but with two tuners I'm getting all red bars on one and green on the other. I have two Diamond ATI USB 750 tuners. The one worked so well that I decided to buy another. I had to go with USB because all the slots on the mainboard are occupied.

My question is... How do I increase signal for both tuners using a single antenna? Do I need a signal amplifier? Which one is best?

Any help or suggestions, as always, is greatly appreciated. Without this site and the old TGB I would have been lost along time ago and would have given up on media center.

Thanks everyone,
Eric

You will not be disappointed with a Motorola A/C powered signal booster. I boosted my signal from -10db to +7db. There are plenty on ebay.
