Unable to detect Media Center Cast?
I'm a little stumped as to what I am doing wrong. I have installed Media Center Cast beta 5, ran it from WMC, and opened up my YouTube app on Android. The Chromecast button at the top does not appear, though. I have made absolute certain that both the PC and phone are on the same network. Is there a way to troubleshoot? I'd love to give $10 to the project, but I'd like to make sure it works first.

I had a similar problem back at B2. Fredx21 helped me troubleshoot my problem. We found that the Samsung App that I had loaded on my MCE was using the same UDP port. He worked to change the port that MCC used.
So it could be that you have an app on your MCE that is now using the port that MCC is using.
It could also be that your computer firewall is blocking. You can determine that very quickly by turning it off for a minute to check that.
Also, make sure you have the latest Youtube app. The one that has the Red PLAY icon.
