Would this setup work for a HTPC?

Hi everyone, I recently picked up a cheap computer that has the following configuration.

Intel G2020
4 GB Ram
500 GB hard drive
DVD burner.

I picked this up and figured I would decide what I would do with it later. One thought I had was giving it to my brother as an htpc, but not sure if it would work for that purpose or not. I could see needing to bump up the ram to 8 GBP and/or getting a separate graphics card

If it would be used for an htpc it would be for 4 people and probably strictly recording and playback of recorded shows.

Yes, although I wouldn't be concerned with upgrading the RAM unless you are adding extenders. You may want to plan on a drive upgrade in the future if the 4 users have heavy recording schedules.
