UK Release date
Hi guys,
I'm kind of getting the feeling from the forum posts that the current priority is obviously getting a stable experience on the Echo. However I was just wondering roughly what kind of date one can expect to be able to purchase the Echo in the UK?
Cheers

There are still plans for an international launch, but an exact date is not available at this time.

Unless u pull in sky i can't see the point in an echo in the uk, your tv will have most the channels and you can build a mini itx pentium for the same price that will be a fully functional pc...
i got dropped from the beta and tbh I'm glad cos this is the way i went and you get the best of both worlds. Mediacenter on shares and a "proper" pc for whatever else...

See I went the other way I did have mini pcs with dvblogic and RedordedTV hd but found not being able to resume playback annoying and the neatness and compactness of the echo made it a winner for me, I now have three. Luckily I was in the US just after launch and bought two on amazon that I had shipped to my hotel, and was also on the beta.
I love the echo as it stands now, anything else that can be bolted on will be a bonus

So is H.264 in wtv (UK HD) working smoothly now then? I had all sorts of trouble and pretty much gave up on the Echo - especially since the beta site stopped fixing or responding to posts on issues. Its still in beta for the UK as far as I'm concerned.
