PPV on InfiniTV4
So regarding pay-per-view events via Comcast cable (in this case in Utah)... I have see many posts stating PPV works fine with the InfiniTV4 and a cablecard, but you have to order the event via the phone (or web site), since the cablecard can't do two way communication (which is why on demand doesn't work). This seems sensible, since my card can also differentiate between various service levels and subscriptions. PPV would seem to fall into that category.
A Comcast rep (via chat) said I needed a cablebox to do it, when I mentioned I'd heard it was possible with just a card, she said she maybe that was true and ordered the event for my account. So now I have no real way of KNOWING if it will work or not until the night of the event (in this case the Mayweather/Guerrero fight), at which point it would be too late to get a box if it doesn't work, and I don't really want to make the 20 mile drive to get one just to be safe.
So I thought I'd ask on this forum what sort of experiences any of you have had with PPV and the InfiniTV4/Cablecard combo.

Then if they've authorized your account properly, you should be good to go.Cryofax wrote:Yes it's in the guide.foxwood wrote:Is the PPV event listed in the schedule?

Followup : The PPV worked just fine via the InfniTV4. I just had to order it via phone with Comcast.
