Give up with Win 8 and Xbox extender?

Hello,

Big fan of MC since XP days. Fresh install of Windows 8 onto a new SSD. PC performing superbly, and I like Windows 8. TV recordings on a separate dedicated Hard drive. MEdia center on the PC itself is brilliant.

BUT viewing MC on the xbox is a spluttery mess. It works but hesitates and loses synch, and HD is even worse. Xbox connected via ethernet to a gigabit wireless router.

Any tips before I give up and get a YouView setup? (I feel like this is what MS want me to do!).

Network adapter settings on your HTPC might need tweaked, or you might need to update the driver.

That's step 1.
