Windows 8 - Wake Up!
Windows 8 does not wake up from sleep and times out when being accessed from XBOX 360's. I have to launch WMC again after it fails to connect. Also upgrade to beta firmware. Same result.

In power options in the control panel, click on Change when the computer sleeps, the change advanced power settings, scroll down to multimedia settings and click the plus next to it. Click the plus next to When sharing media and select either Prevent idling to sleep or Allow the computer to enter away mode - options explained -
Prevent idling to sleep – stops the PC from being able to sleep, your media will continue but the PC will use plenty of power
Allow the computer to enter Away mode – puts the PC into a special state when it’s idle turning off the monitor to save as much power as it can. This is probably the best option.
