WMC settings and Windows Easy Transfer
Does anyone know if Windows Easy Transfer transfers settings from WMC, eg Recording Lists, guide data..., to the new target machine? I'm moving my installation to a new disk and was wondering the easiest way to accomplish this.
Thanks,
Richard

I can't vouch for this (I'm sure others will chime in) but you can try a tool like MC Backup:

I use mcBackup and it works like a charm! However, I have had it corrupt a recording schedule once on backup which led to it restoring nothing. But as said, this was just once out of the numerous times I've used it.
Edit: I've never used Easy Transfer as I always do a full wipe and install.

Thanks for the information! I suspected that it would include WMC, but I like to know before I go... so to speak.

I'm pretty sure that Stak's "it" was referring to MCBackup, not Easy Transfer.RichInCinci wrote:I suspected that it would include WMC,

Personally I just take a copy of some of the db files, and then re-import them after setting up tuners etc.
