I have been using windows media center xp 2005 for several years & I like it over the vista & up versions
I have 3 media centers & my main PC networked on gigabit lan for pc to pc streaming if wanted or file transfer for video editing or archiving, this all works great however I am looking to size down to cut my energy costs as if I cut out 2 of the HTPC's I can save about $300.00 a year.
my best solution would be to find a HD streaming media player box but any affordable $60.00 to $150.00 boxes if any do not support the media center Microsoft .ms file format
I need a box that outputs HDMI and VGA or analog HD video ouputs 1080p and or 720p, supports all common DVD SD & HD video formats .iso woud be a + feature, supports network streaming of .ms files & supports 2x USB 2TB HDD
if anyone knows of box or has any suggestions please post thanks
