Sleep mode - how can I tell

A place to talk about GPUs/Motherboards/CPUs/Cases/Remotes, etc.

Sleep mode - how can I tell

I'm sure this has been talked to death, but search didn't help me...

How can I tell what sleep mode my system is entering? i.e. S1 or S2, etc.

According to powercfg -a, my system supports S1 and S3. S2 is not supported by firmware, according to this command.
In Windows, I have the following enabled.

Turn off Hard-Disk after 20min
Sleep after 30min
Allow Hybrid Sleep-Yes
Hybernate-Never
Allow wake timers-yes

I can tell you that when my system enters sleep mode, it is dead silent. No PSU or fans running.
The reason for the line of questions is that I occasionally have a resume from sleep issue, and I want to make sure that I'm not "forcing" my system into a sleep mode that is not available - if that is even possible.
We missed half of one of my wife's recordings... so my WAF is at stake here. :D

You might find this link helpful. Basically what you want is S3 mode only. Check the PC Bios settings.. My bios has a S3 Mode Only option. I set it to use S3 Mode and it works perfect, wakes to record etc. I also have had good luck with MCE Standby Tool by Slick Solutions for getting the PC to sleep and wake etc. You can select the appropriate sleep mode for your PC with the Standby tool.
