Changing Skip Forward And Skip Backward Intervals

Hello all,

After the original Green Button closed down I was kinda angry. I just found out today that it has been revived here. Awesome news.

I thought I'd post about one of the most useful things I picked up at the old Green Button .... changing skip forward and backward intervals... that is .. if you want to change from 10 and 30 seconds.

Steps:

0. Make sure Xbox360 is connected.
1. Run Regedit
2. Select the root of the HKEY_USERS
3. Search HKEY_USERS for all sub-keys with "skipaheadinterval" or "instantreplay interval"
4. There will be a couple where these are present

Example HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2534613038-80915593-668259648-1001
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2534613038-80915593-668259648-1001_Classes

5. Change intevals (see below).
6. Turn off Xbox360
7. Turn on Xbox360
8. Changes should be present.

For Skip Forward Interval:

Enter the number of milliseconds you want to skip forward when you press the skip button. (1 second = 1000 milliseconds)

Registry key - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center\Settings\VideoSettings
Registry value - SkipAheadInterval

Skip Back Interval:

Enter the number of milliseconds you want to skip back when you press the replay button. (1 second = 1000 milliseconds)

Registry key - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center\Settings\VideoSettings
Registry value - InstantReplayInterval

Hope someone finds this useful!

Might I suggest adding the information to the wiki?
