XMLTV file not saved

#1

Post by NiteNite » Mon Sep 04, 2023 10:03 am

Downloaded and installed latest version 1.8.2.1, and am not getting an XMLTV file (Create XMLTV file is checked in the XMLTV tab). Logged in with my Schedules Direct account, selected linups & channels, then clicked Save & Execute. Stuff happened & messages appeared on screen. I went off to do some other stuff and when I came back, EPG123 had closed. I reopened it to view the logs, which show the following errors:

[9/4/2023 5:19:44 AM] [ERROR] Failed to download configuration file from http://localhost:9009/epg123/epg123.cfg. Exception: The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.
[9/4/2023 5:19:44 AM] [ERROR] Failed to download configuration file from http://localhost:9009/epg123/epg123.cfg. Exception: The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.
[9/4/2023 5:42:06 AM] [ INFO] Failed to create the XMLTV file. Exception: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I would have thought there would either be a default location for an XMLTV file to go, or a place in the config where I could indicate where I want it to go, but I found no indication of either.

How to fix?

The first 2 errors are expected if you do not have a epg123.cfg configuration file present. Was there any entries before the "Failed to create the XMLTV file" entry to indicate a problem?

The xmltv file will be stored at c:\programdata\garyan2\epg123\output\epg123.xmltv.

The xmltv problem is fixed in 1.8.2.2.
