Lost in the NFL
Something goofy here in my area or my house. WMC set to record NFL games as series. New games only, HD only chosen so any station. A bunch of games set to record today as normal except the 1PM Jets game on the local CBS affiliate, perfectly shown on the menu, is not showing as a scheduled recording. Never saw anything like that before. You guys?

Some sports programs use a different series ID than the rest from Gracenote. The college football games tend to be worse than others, but certainly possible to be the same thing for the NFL. Usually only see that for NFL when the playoffs start. All the NFL games in my area use series ID 00003128. If you look into your epg123.mxf file and find the Jets game, you can verify if the uid of the program starts with "!Program!EP00003128_" or not.

What I would recommend is to create a wishlist recording using the program title "NFL Football" and category "Football/Sports". This will capture all the games regardless of the assigned series ID by Gracenote.

Of course it gets even better: I go to tune in the Jets/Miami and the are running Colts/Bills. (Of course probably better but that is not the point here.)

.....actually much better.
Jets - Miami on the Live TV On screen guide (CBS affiliate)
At the same time and station on the schedule menu Packers-Vikes (which is on Fox, not CBS!
And opening that file we see it is actually recording the Bills-Colts
Whaaaaaat?
(And some weekends here we see the identical game showing on the scheduled recording menu at 1 PM both and CBS and FOX, impossible of course.)
What did I do, plug my system into a light socket?
