MXF File Warning Message (probably an easy one)

#1

Post by glamberson » Thu Aug 19, 2021 3:05 am

Hello,

I have a pretty old WMC/EPG setup (which is to say I've had it this way for several years and have updated many times). I get this warning message all the time in my log, and I'd just like to get it taken care of so I can update without errors. Here is the warning message:

[WARNG] It appears the MXF file to import is incorrect. Changing the import file from "c:\epg123\epg123.mxf" to "c:\epg123\output\epg123.mxf".

My read of this is that somewhere in the setup I've got a file directory error. However, I haven't been able to locate this config item to fix it.

Could someone tell me how to clear this little error?

Thanks in advance!

Your scheduled task was created using a very old version of epg123 when the mxf file was located in the base epg123 directory. The location of the saved mxf file was moved to an \output folder but I added code to detect this situation and adapted so that the user would not get any interruption in downloading everyday. The warning was there to get your attention so that you would take action.

All you have to do is delete your current task and create a new one which will point to the "new" location of the mxf file.

Ah, thank you. I thought this is what happened but couldn't figure out how to fix it. Thanks!

I lived overseas for several years and came back to this error. Undoubtedly Your update happened during my absence.
