File Missing with guide import client mode

#1

Post by We87 » Fri Jul 23, 2021 6:57 pm

All machines running Windows 10 Enterprise, with latest epg123

Master machine has the guide mxf file shared, with no password, on the network. None of the networked computers have password shares. But when the client computers try to import the guide the log file always says "file does not exist"

I've tried remaking the task in task scheduler
Making sure everything was run with administrator privileges.
Someone on the forums said to share just the "output" folder and nothing higher up, that didn't work either.

The guide is 100% there and a manual import works just fine.

Share looks like this: "\\MEDIACENTERHDTV\output\epg123.mxf"

Computers are not asleep, they are on and running when the task is set.

Any ideas on what I can try next?

You need to change the user of the task in Task Scheduler to access the shared folder. The SYSTEM account won't do it for network access to shared folders.

Thank you very much for the reply and information, I truly appreciate it.

I feel silly but I do not know how exactly do change the name or user. I have tried, but I don't understand exactly how to do it. I am still searching trying to figure out, if I do I'll post back.

From the Task Scheduler, double-click the epg123_update task to edit. Click on the image below to see an animated GIF.

Thank you so much! Works like a charm now! I appreciate the gif, wouldn't have gotten it to work otherwise.
