WMC missing channels selected in EPG123

#1

Post by lawson23 » Tue Jan 14, 2020 3:17 am

I installed EPG123 for my first time and it is working perfectly with schedules direct except I'm missing some channels.
For some reason WMC is missing channels.

I should have 24 but after scanning in WMC I only get 20 and I should be easily getting these four missing channels.
When looking in the client the guide shows the 20 but lineup service shows the 24.
Any ideas?

They are VHF channels and you skipped over that part in the instructions.

Thank you for that as it got the main digital channel put in but how do I get the others?

18.1 - assigned according to your directions
18.2
18.3
18.4

Also for the frequency (real channel) I see some of these reports show different channels. Rabbitears (28) vs tv fool (39)

The guide shows no information will this eventually update or did I do something wrong? I did not know what to name it so I used the Call Sign. (using the epg123 client I was able to fix this by doing a channel match)

You'd add the subchannels just like you added 18.1.

I think Rabbitears has the most current info for channel assignments. Just check to see your new channel loads the correct video in WMC after you add it -- it's pretty easy to delete and re-add the channel again, if necessary.

Yes thank you I figured it out just thought there would have to be a different frequency setting for the other digital channels.

Thanks everyone for your help as everything appears to be working well now.

Gary thank you and a great product but to add one of the reasons I skipped that was because this is not a vhf channel it is channel 28 and vhf channels are 2-13

I see that. Is the station low power and the scan just didn't pick it up? Happens to me sometimes on my locals here. Not sure if a power thing or just WMC/tuner just couldn't figure out the muxing of the digital channels.
