Scheduled task completes - no data in WMC
My first attempt to update the guide with EPG123 was unsucessful. I seem to have gotten the lineups, schedules direct, tuners and everything set. Trouble with the final step though. I go to create the scheduled task - it succeeds. I can run the task and it succeeds. Presumably the HTPC has all the data it needs. However the guide listings are not being presented in WMC.
I believe the cause to be the grayed out checkmarks for "Automatically import guide data into WMC" I have tried delete the scheduled task and that does not enable the checkbox. I have tried to clear cache and re-execute to no avail. Is there a way to fix this without uninstalling and reinstalling and starting over?
Thank you for any help!

Do you have the client installed? Those checkboxes will only be enabled if the client is installed as well.

I believe I did the full installation since this is the only HTPC. Should I try to run installation again for client?

Do you have a shortcut for the client in the start menu?

Thank you for the assistance..
I had chosen these as the installation options: This is what is currently in the start menu: I believe the program listed as EPG123 is the client?
thanks again!

Interesting... no EPG123 Client shortcut? Try running the setup file again and see if it creates the shortcut.

I just realized... update to the newer version. MSSE was giving a false Trojan detection for version v1.3.3.40 and would delete the shortcut and the executable. That is what happened.

Ok re-ran setup with updated version. EPG123 client now shows up.
I did hit "Restart Program" to try the loadmxf.exe again. It ran and completed. I was able to open the EPG123 client and do an automatch on the listings.
I created the task and it is currently running. Hopefully it works. Can't check media center at the moment since i'm logged on via RDP.
Will post update later. Thanks again for the assistance!

Loadmxf.exe is a native WMC program to load the guide listings into WMC. This will sometimes happen, predominantly on the first import, when the initial load is quite large. Trying again will almost always succeed since most of the information is already in the database from the first try.

Ok - the reinstallation and scheduled task worked! So far it appears that all of guide has populated correctly. Look forward to putting this to work.
Thank you! have a happy new year!
