Well dang. I knew I should have pulled my old WHS v1 out of storage (HP MediaSmart EX475) to test this, but thought that if I could get it to run on XP it would work. I didn't even think of the installers OS version check.
Back to the drawing board for WHS. Make sure you run the 3rd reg file to remove the POS entry.
