Cheap HDCP stripper?
I need to take the HDMI video output of a WMC7 and send it to a 10" LCD with composite video input.
The LCD is in my bathroom shower/tub and I want to be able to watch news/ESPN/etc on it from my WMC7 feed.
Anyone think this box linked below might work?
Or can recommend something that will?

Is it coming from your PC or an extender? If it's copy protected then it might not work. The original xbox would allow HDCP over composite but you might need an actual stripper such as this $10 one https://www.ebay.com/itm/HDMI-1-in-2-ou ... :rk:1:pf:0 and the converter you posted.

Thanks, cwinfield.
This is coming from a cheap WMC7 micro PC with an HDCP compliant HDMI video card.
The PC will connect to two monitors for cloned display.
The 10" analog LCD and also a 24" LCD with DVI (non-HDCP).

Oh wait, I wonder if the OverrideDigitalCableAdvisor will work for this.
I didn't even think to try it.

So here is the main issue I see with how your trying to do this. Your screen resolution is going to need to be 480i in order to drive at that resolution. If the micro PC only has the one hdmi port it will need to maintain resolution across all displays. you might need to look into a more robust solution.

Or just buy an extender on eBay. I use the dma2100 they work great and are cheap. The dma2100 has composite and hdmi. You could run an Ethernet cable to it, or run it wireless on 5ghz as long as you're not too far from the base. I can get a good signal two rooms away. I wouldn't recommend using 2.4ghz.
The other extender is the ceton echo. It's supposed to be better, but I thought I saw on this board that there's a "call home" issue now that the company is no longer around.
Use this search:

Don't get the WMCE54AG Cisco or the black HP x5400 extenders - those are for Windows XP

I still use an Echo now and then. I don't think it's ever complained about not being able to call home.
