Should I accept WMC update notification? I have installed EPG123 client 2 days ago I am getting automatic WMC notification from the pc window I am suspecting it's the Rovi/Microsoft regular updates I used to get before installing EPG123 client? :?

Are you referring to the WMC icon that appears in the system tray (by the clock)? You may disregard it.

Part of the EPG123 setup is selecting "I do not agree" to the Microsoft guide data EULA, so although the notification is there, WMC is not downloading guide data from Rovi/Microsoft.

I just un-checked the option(s) under 'Settings > General > Automatic Download Options'. Still do 'Optimization', tho...

I actually keep that checked so you can get the extended movie information (review, similar movies). Leaving it checked also means that it get CD info, though I don't know who uses CDs anymore.

Fair enough. I'm all 'Emby for WMC', except for TV. Currently no viable substitute for TV in WMC, but for all other libraries, Emby make things VERY attractive. Point was, it made the 'Green Orb' go away.

I haven't used the Emby for WMC in quite a while. It was a staple for a long time since I could use MPC-HC and toggle subtitles and audio streams with the remote. Now, though not perfect, the Roku app is pretty darn good so it is my goto for everything Emby. I will watch recorded TV with the app, but not live TV ... too much processing and network traffic that my server wasn't designed for.
