EPG123 works great but have a question

Very happy with the switch so far and did donate and encourage others to do the same if there pleased.
Not sure if my question is even related to the guide. I have locals on both cable and ota.. I try to record locals using the ota tuner (hd home run) not the cable channels since it frees up space for the wife to watch the reallity shows on cable. When i go to edit channels/edit sources it only show the tuners based on the type. Before i have a choice of balancing between both cable and ota. Is there a setting i didnt set correctly?

You mean like the below? The screenshot below is my VM with a MS/Rovi setup and not EPG123. This is done automatically during normal setup with MS/Rovi. To get the same behavior with EPG123, you need to merge the Cable channel and the ATSC channel. Pro is you get what you are asking for; Con is you "lose" one of the channels in the guide.

Thanks
can you tell me how to merge and can i un-merge I dont pay attention to the atsc part of the guide. My 4 locals we watch start at 104 on cable and on the atsc tuners it starts at 4.1.

To step through the process, go to edit channels and select the ATSC channel 4.1

Select Edit Listings
type the first 4 letters of the channel callsign and hit enter, this will quickly get you to the cable channel
select the callsign with the cable channel 104 to the left of it
select "Combine channel 4.1 with channel 104" or vice versa, whichever.

That's it. To unmerge, edit channels and split will do it, though it is a pain sometimes.
