Noobie question re scheduling update
I checked the option to automatically import listings to WMC, and the box to set time to update the listings is grayed out. Is this normal behavior?
When I look at WMC, all guide data has been populated.
Win 7 SP1, EPG 1.1.10, HDHomeRun cable card tuner.

Creating the task requires elevated privileges. Click the [Create] button and the GUI will restart elevated and enable the time field. Once you enter your time and the "Automatically import ..." and "Automatically match ..." options the way you want, click the [Create] button again to actually create the task.Dean L. Garyan2: thanks for the fast response, but I do not see a Create button in either the server app or the client app. Is there a screen shot you can point me to? Thanks.

The 'Scheduled update time:' field and 'Wake' checkbox will be disabled (grayed out) if not running with elevated permissions. If the button has a shield on it, then you can't edit them.Dean L. I see a Delete button, but not a Create button. Please advise.

Okay, the Delete button is there because a Scheduled Task already exists. You can't edit the task, you can only delete it and create a new one.
Sorry, I thought by your first entry you could change the state of the checkboxes for import and match, but the time was grayed out. In this case, the checkboxes for import and match should be grayed out as well, correct?

That's correct, import and match are also grayed out. Right now it shows (grayed out) Scheduled update time: 00.00
Last run 7/7/2012 12:00:00 AM; Exit: 0x00000000 (sorry, I'm having a little trouble posting my screen shot here).
When I look at the guide, it says it extends to July 27, which is 20 days away, but I have it set to download the maximum (21 days). So does this mean that the next update will occur on July 8, extending the guide data to July 28th?
Thank you for your time and trouble. I can already see that EPG123 works far better than the Windows/Rovi guide.

All right, looks like everything is running as expected. If you want to change the time of your update, just delete the task, enter a new time, and create a new task.Dean L. To maybe confuse things a bit ... you do have 21 days of guide. One of the 21 is today, so 20 more days will be to the 27th. Where the oddity/confusion comes in is EPG123/Schedules Direct days are based off Zulu time (GMT/UTC). So your end date also depends on when your update time is. Where I live, I am GMT - 7 hours so a "new" day starts at 1700 local time. If my scheduled update was at 1659, I would download 7/7 - 7/27 and my guide end date would be 7/27 at 5PM. If my scheduled update was at 1701, I would download 7/8 - 7/28 and my guide end date would be 7/28 at 5PM.
Fun, ain't it?

Thank you. I deleted the task set for 00:00 and created a new one for 12:00. I also made a PayPal donation to you.
