No guide data after EPG123 setup

#1

Post by Jacksondorf » Wed Jul 05, 2017 7:09 am

I have two wmc pc's One of them stopped showing guide data.. there was two week showing, and then over night I get the message No Guide Data. It was running the rovi data from MS. On my other one I am running epg123. So I went through the epg123 setup on the problem machine. All seemed to go fine. but the guide still shows no data available. Going to the settings/tv/guide, it shows the epg123 guide data is two weeks out. I am at a loss as what to do other than uninstalling wmc. If I do, will I still be able to play my protected shows that I have recorded? Or is there some way to fix the guide? I have been searching, but only come up with the old info about ms and their guide data problems, which I believe has nothing to do with my problem now.

Any help appreciated!

A few things to check quickly...

Make sure the lineup is INCLUDED for download (page 5)
Make sure the mxf file is imported (Automatically import guide data, page 7/8)
Make sure the listings are linked to the channels (Automatically match/Automatch, page 7/8)

All 3 above can be verified and taken care of in the client GUI, page 9.

If you still can't get it working, please post the latest contents of your trace.log file for your last 1/2 attempts.

Thanks for the speedy response!
I first checked in the main epg123 program, and everything was checked off properly. When I looked in the client epg123 program, the guide data on the right was not linked to the channel data on the left. I selected the match by #. The auto update kicked off about 2 minutes later.
Now the guide data shows up just fine, Thanks!

Only question I have is...... I have been using epg123 for a couple of years now, and I have never used the client side program before and didn't have any problems. Is this something new?

Again many thanks,

The client GUI was born with v1.1.0 back in February. Glad you're up and running!

I had the same problem. It was corrected with clicking the Manual Import button during setup (import didn't automatically take place).

@bradly1101: feel free to delete 3 of your duplicate postings!

I've never seen it not import, or a least try to, when commanded. Are you sure you had the "Automatically import ..." checkbox checked? Was there any errors in the trace.log file that first time?
