Okay, you're going to love this.
@webminster: I want you to edit the channel name of channel 2 to be "THIS IS RIDICULUS". Add any obscenities you may like. Then go check out the favorites edit.
I would say this is an oversight by MS and the field width when editing favorites is based on the width of the very first row. Since you have no name/callsign on channel 2, the field width is basically 0.

Good catch, Gary.
Maybe you can have EPG123 add a dummy channel "0" (or something else that will always appear first in the list) with a long channel name to fix this issue for everyone using EPG123.
I think there is a registry setting somewhere that by default prevents channels lower than 2 from appearing in the guide so unless you change that it might not work.

Right, and at 1 point I was changing the registry to allow for channel 1. I don't believe WMC will allow a channel 0 but I can try.Space wrote:Good catch, Gary.

You could always manually add a channel 1 if channel 2 is taken but has a short title.

Can you post the registry for that minimum channel setting? I can't seem to find it.
Also, FiOS actually has a channel 1, but it is the SD version of 501, so not really that important so I didn't make the registry change when I saw it, but I usually make a note of stuff like that so I have it in the future, apparently I forgot to note the registry setting for this one.
Using "1" for a dummy channel might not be the best idea since, like I just mentioned, that channel can actually be used by the provider.
"0" would probably be the best option, but like you said, it may not be supported by WMC.
The other option is to add a "channel 1" if none in the listing, and if there is, pad the name of that channel to make the column wider (if necessary). I don't know if just adding spaces to the end of the name will accomplish that.

DWORD values below will give you a range of 1 to 9999. You will only get a tuned value of channel 1 once you do another scan.
[HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Multimedia\TV\Tunings Spaces\Digital Cable]
"MinChannel"=dword:00000001
"MaxChannel"=dword:0000270F

Thanks!
Are you modifying the MaxChannel registry value currently with EPG123?
