The automatch uses the original channel number, not any custom numbering you use. You would get no benefit of using the UVerse lineup ... in fact, not only would you need to renumber your tuner channel numbers, but would also have to manually match the guide listings.
No harm in asking.. I will be firing up GuideTool this weekend and get this all straightened out.

I'm back in business again!!!

I was able to restore my custom channel numbering using a GuideTool backup made right before I had to rebuild my database and that is all good too.. Life is good again.

Why not schedule a weekly snapshot of your system so if your channel guide gets trashed, you can roll back easily? If you are interested, I have an XML file can can be imported into the Task Scheduler.

Thank you. I'll take a further look and get this incorporated in the next few days but right now, on to the next issue to resolve.. Getting all my logos updated in my guide and possibly switching to v1.1.4. Do I just drop that into my existing c:\epg123\ directory or is there more to do than that? I'll keep a copy of v1.0.2 just in case

I descheduled the existing task scheduler entry (used Task Scheduler), moved the 1.0.x folder to a new name, and unpacked 1.1.4 in a new folder with the original name for old habits. Copy your old config file to the new folder. Then run the GUI and add the scheduler entry and go.

To get this straight..

You disabled your existing scheduled task to run epg123. Did you then select "Schedule Task" (or whatever it is called) in epg123 to create a new daily task?

Can I just rename my existing c:\epg123\ folder to something like "c:\epg123old\ ?

By "Copy you old config file.." do you mean "copy epg123.cfg from c:\epg123old\ to c:\epg123?

I assume that the epg123.cfg file is the same structure in both versions and just maintains all the selected items and saved guide from SchedulesDirect; is this correct?

Yes, I deleted the original "epg123_update" task in task scheduler (I recall having some issue deleting it from within the EPG123 client. I used the epg123client.exe to create the new task, including setting the time and the automatch options.
Sammy2 wrote:Can I just rename my existing c:\epg123\ folder to something like "c:\epg123old\ ?
Pretty much what I did... change the old folder name to like epg123.100 (my old 1.0.0 version).
Sammy2 wrote:By "Copy you old config file.." do you mean "copy epg123.cfg from c:\epg123old\ to c:\epg123?
Exactly.

Has all the options you need to get moving again, you need the config from the old version or else you're reconfiguring from scratch. I ran the epg123.exe GUI, checked the options and verified the lineup looked good, then saved it and ran the update.
