Actually I believe the silence is because remarkably it has been working reliably for the last month. Of course your post is now going to upset the spirits and break it tonight.

(Makes note to rush home and sacrifice a goat to the spirits of EPG.)

Thanks!

Though dammit, now I wonder why mine stopped on 3rd March!

Hmmm, well that's annoying. I've been trying to set up guide listings and after entering my postcode I am told there are no stations available for my area. "Please try a different postcode". The same thing happens for whatever postcode I use. Does anyone have any idea of what might be going on here?

Thanks.

Argh! As feared mrbarty had indeed upset the spirits of EPG. As of yesterday mine was due to run out on the 29th April. Fortunately my sacrifice of a goat appears to have appeased them as today it now runs to May 1st. (Phew!)

Same here. Starting Saturday 13th May, there are random blocks of "no information available". It is the same on terrestrial (Sutton Coldfield) and Satellite.

edit
Just noticed that one of my PCs with terrestrial tuners actually has some data until the 19th this morning.

I now have no data past midday today on some channels and nothing at all after the 17th on my Living Room PC (satellite tuners).

I notice that there has been no response to https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/win ... 84c228368e from anyone so maybe necroposting doesn't work so well on answers.microsoft.com?

Data does rather seem to have vanished again. The sparse data that is there seems to be OTA derived.

seems like my celebration was premature as only terrestrial, Hotbird 13 and Astra 19.2 guides have updated.

there's an error reported while downloading guide data for Astra 28.2 and there's still nothing so its back to EPG Collector for now....

Media Center decided to blitz my database last night so I had only the default channels (nothing to speak of at all really) and no guide data at all this morning.

So I thought I might as well take the opportunity to install Creators Update and start over. Having done that, I reinstalled WMC and checked that updates worked then restored the database to just before the last outage and everything is back working again.

Hopefully everything is going well for everyone else.

Yes my terrestrial DVB-T guide came back the same time as yours and so far has remained working.

I see you are using Win10, I am still using Win7. When I experimented with Win10 and WMC I found I could not get the invaluable GuideTool to work, do you use this and if so does it work for you?

Yes, guidetool works on Windows 10.

It doesn't appear in apps so I tend to run it from the folder as administrator but IDK if that necessarily makes a difference.

Anyone here still using Microsoft EPG data?

Like another user on answers.microsoft.com (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/win ... 0540895780, I've got an expiry date of 28th July.

I'm not a masochist, I just have a much more complex setup than most and the other options that are available to me don't work as well for me as they do for them.

When the Microsoft feed is working it works just fine for me. But I wish it was more reliable.

Yeah, I realise some have good reason to stick with the MS feed. It is an increasingly painful path to follow though.

I hope you manage to get someone in MS to take action.

Still no response from MS so I've given in and remapped the remainder of my UK channels to use the EPG Collector data and recreated my series recording schedule entries.

I may just leave it like that now as all this switching back and forth is getting too much.

@technodevotee

Are there any new Connect feedback threads for the current outage?

I could not see one for the UK, nor a new entry on Answers. It looks like it might however be a European wide outage.
