Weak TV Signal Message - Tuner dead?

I've had my infinitv 4 for almost 5 years now running pretty well overall. The other day I put more fans in my computer to lower the tuner temperature from 63 to 43 C. About 3 days ago, I began receiving the "Weak TV signal" message with intermediate pixilation. When I went to the device webpage, it showed that Tuner 3 was the one playing, it's signal and SnR ratio were good (1mv/34 SnR). When Tuner #3 was occupied, my other tuners (and TVs) would work just fine with no disruption and the same signal and SNR as tuner #1,2,4.

My question is, has anyone ever had anything like this where one Tuner goes out? Is it possible for a tuner to just fail and the others be ok?

I have another infinitv sitting in a box I might throw in and just use 7 tuners instead of my 8, just going into WMC and de-selecting Tuner #3.

Does the problem go away if you disconnect the fans?
