Built a new PC, so I re-installed MCLXL, but it is not pulling down any logos.
If I choose the "Check for logo updates" option, the app just stalls.
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks,
CFC

Is WMC open when you try "Check for logo update" If so Close WMC. Close MCL. Open MCL and try again.

Yes, WMC was off. Tried it on fresh reboot also, and didn't work.
Good news though, tried again this morning and it pulled them down successfully.
Perhaps there was a connection issue at the time maybe?
All is good now.

Long story short, did a mobo swap that didn't quite work had to reinstall win7 so new instance of everything. installed MCLXL like I had previously. It changed the guide size to 12 like I wanted. tweaked other things to WMC, but somehow guide settings reset back to default. Now no matter what MCLXL won't update the guide. It says it does, but the guide doesn't actually update stays at 7 rows and 2 hours. Uninstall/reinstall doesn't work. Not sure what actually changed it. I played around with the WMC Reset Toolbox but didn't like it and uninstalled. I have channel logos in the guide, but the row size and amount of time shown won't change. I'm at a loss now. Any ideas?

It's my understanding that to get the row/columns change on WMC it needs to replace some executable/dll files (not sure which one/ones). I don't have MCL so I have no idea really how to fix it, but I assume the file(s) is/are not being replaced for some reason.
Maybe try running it "as Administrator" to see if it is a file permissions thing?

Been a few too many reports of these sorts of issues... wish there was a way to sort this out so it's good for everyone.

Am concerned unless Mak has finally replied to anyone here who posted issues. If he's going to take money and not deliver product, what recourses are there?

File a complaint with PayPal. They don't tolerate this kind of crap and will deduct the $5 from his account and put it back into your account.webminster wrote:Am concerned unless Mak has finally replied to anyone here who posted issues. Sorry everybody, life's been crazy since the move, so I haven't been able to visit tbg recently.
PayPal somehow changed the emails I had attached to my account, and so it suddenly was emailing confirmations to some old email I no longer use. And then when people would submit a request to PayPal because their download hadn't come, it would send it to that wrong email, so I hadnt been getting informed of any problems.
Anyways, I'm sure you guys don't want to here my excuses. Once I get home today I'll make sure everyone gets their downloads. If still need your download, or if you're having some other technical issue, please pm me through this website so I get an extra notice in another email inbox. I'll try to address this all tonight.

Mak, I got the file you emailed to reset the guide, but anytime I run it windows says the program stopped responding. So I still can't get the guide to change with MCLXL at the moment.

Hmm.. alright, I'll have to try something different. I need to get back on my main computer to send you another resource, (out of town at the moment), but I'll email you another option on Tuesday.braigo64 wrote:Mak, I got the file you emailed to reset the guide, but anytime I run it windows says the program stopped responding.
