???
I've tried closing and reopening WMC but it still comes back.
How do I dismiss EAS message?

Looks like I just had to wait until the expire time and then close and reopen WMC. That was annoying.

Yeah, EAS messages are re-broadcast by your cable company until they expire. Occasionally, they persist in Media Center (after the expiration date/time). If that is the case, you can close Media Center, and it will be gone when you open Media Center again. However, if the EAS message has not yet expired, you can expect it to re-appear when you open Media Center and watch a live or pre-recorded show. It's a safety "feature".

Ceton added a kill feature that you can suppress the messages but it must be activated each iTV boot.
Probably very easy to script up.

To avoid further possible misinterpretation from the Internet police I should add this is a feature SiliconDust could implement.
I was bugged a while back by a stream of EAS messages and being able to prevent more of them from coming on screen with one click was very refreshing.
