I don't know if anyone has tried it yet but it is my understanding that WMC10 is a fork of WMC8.1 so the version of epg123 for Windows 8.1 should work. Make a system image and give it a whirl.

For my Win8+ builds, and my testbed, I am using a virtual machine of Win10 loaded with v12 of WMC 8.1. You're good to go.

OK - so excited to find this and I think I am doing stuff right, but after a seemingly successful run of the exe, still no guide data.

Windows 10
Installed using WindowsMediaCenter_10.0.10134.0v2.1.rar - I can load all OTA channels and watch live TV.
Hauppage TV Tuner (ATSC setup in WMC and drivers up to date).

screen shot of guide will come in another reply if you need it - I'm using a media remote with minimal keys.

In case it helps, the mxf file updates (and to an untrained eye contains lots of entries that look ready to load a guide), and my mcsrchph0.log in the ehome directory added this last time I ran epg123.exe:

There was a user earlier on with this version that had the same issue. The fix action was to install the latest version of the Win10 WMC_6.3.9600.16384_x64_v12.7z which is the version I use in my testbed.

So did you upgrade and have problems with v12? or did the repair fix your problems with v2.1?

The WMC v12 installer kept failing (the newer WMC package that works with EPG123). It refused to install and I finally found that forum above that told me how to bypass all the DISM (?) errors I was having. So it calls the process an "in place upgrade" of Windows 10. It is essentially a refresh and it took care of whatever corruption was preventing the WMC v12 install. (The DISM processes kept telling me I had corrupt files it couldn't repair). I'm just technical enough to get this done, but not technical enough to tell you what I'm saying here.

So...
1) in place upgrade Windows 10 using newly created media
2) install WMC v12
3) install epg123!

Once I put on WMC v12 from the link you supplied, everything else was smooth emailing.

Now to record a slew of Bob the Builder and Dinosaiur Train to keep the tot happy. :) hope your daughter's arm is all healed!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ME! Best gift of the day - having WMC back in my life.

Awesome, thanks for spearheading this one!

Don't leave out Curious George, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, Wild Kratts, and Word Girl ... they've been a hit. Also some good backups are Kipper, Pocoyo, Baby Einstein, and VeggieTales

We see the doctor Tuesday to find out if the 2nd cast is the last, or she gets a third cast. She's done really well with the whole thing (didn't even cry or freak out when she broke it ... was more mad than anything). Thanks for the concern!

Could you try to describe which parts of the referenced thread above you followed?

Are you saying you need to reinstall windows 10?

Was this the necessary portion:
Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
sfc /scannow
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /scannow
