Brand new installation with 0.9.4, long enough for two nightly updates to have run apparently successfully at 3AM.

Very impressed with the fact that both nights the whole process completed in under 3 minutes.

Code: Select all

[4/15/2016 3:02:54 AM] [STATS] epg123 execution time was 00:02:53.1291041.
[4/16/2016 3:02:47 AM] [STATS] epg123 execution time was 00:02:46.7706772.
Obviously this is due to the limited number of 69 selected channels and 21 days I'm downloading guide info for, but it's still remarkable.

Code: Select all

[4/16/2016 3:00:05 AM] [ INFO] Successfully requested listing of client lineups from Schedules Direct.
[4/16/2016 3:00:05 AM] [ INFO] Successfully retrieved the station mapping for lineup USA-CA57315-X.
[4/16/2016 3:00:07 AM] [ INFO] Successfully retrieved the station mapping for lineup USA-OTA-90292.
[4/16/2016 3:00:07 AM] Entering getAllScheduleEntryMd5s() for 21 days on 69 stations.
[4/16/2016 3:00:08 AM] [ INFO] Successfully retrieved Md5s for 69 station's daily schedules.
[4/16/2016 3:00:12 AM] [ INFO] Successfully retrieved 65 station's daily schedules.

[4/16/2016 3:01:37 AM] [STATS] Generated .mxf file contains 69 services, 1848 series, 13880 programs, and 25946 people with 3178 image links.
Now while it doesn't seem to have impacted the nightly update for these first two nights, the following "EPG123 is not an approved app, error 1005" from Schedules Direct occurred both nights.

Code: Select all

[ERROR] epg123 is not recognized as an approved app from Schedules Direct. code: 1005 , message: Did not recognize the submitted client. , datetime: 2016-04-16T10:00:05Z
Is this a known issue with EPG123 which will be eventually resolved? Or is it "normal" and to be expected always? Or does it indicate a problem with my own Schedules Direct subscription (which I purchased for the entire upcoming year)? Or does it indicate a problem with Schedules Direct, even though they clearly list EPG123 as an authorized app on their site? Or does it indicate something else which can be corrected by me?

One of the Schedules Direct features is that a developer can register a grabber and version with us. If they then release a new version they can let us know, which will then potentially do something at the client, like pop up a notice.

EPG123 is "checking in", but garyan2 hasn't gone through the registration process with us yet, which is why you're seeing code 1005. It's cosmetic.

Yes - the whole point is to only download what's changed since your last download, and the Schedules Direct API lets a client know exactly what has changed in just about everything - lineup, schedule, program, icons, etc. The "delta" mechanism makes the transaction very fast after the initial download (because at that point _everything_ is new)

Thank for all your explanations.

And thank you and garyan2 for both of your wonderful products and "workmanship". Brilliantly thought out and implemented, and obviously terrific solutions to the common Guide problems and issues all of us WMC lovers/users faced. Incredibly appreciated, if only for the new ability to now see season/episode info in the show titles when available.

Many kudos to both of you for jobs super-well done.

I activated that feature today, so everyone should be getting pop-ups from the GUI and notifications in the trace.log file directing you to the website for an update. Unfortunately, the update isn't posted yet ... I'm trying to get it pushed out real soon.
