If you're still looking for testers, I'm game. I have a Colossus w/Satellite STB, and 2x HDHomeRun ATSC tuners (4 tuners). I do suffer from the double ATSC tuner issue. And to make it more interesting, I'm in Canada so I have to jump through an extra hoop to enable ATSC.

I can make some time on Sunday to do this if you still need input.

Sure. I'll PM you the link... this also made me think of something. I really don't think you need to worry about that ATSC trick anymore. You are going to have 9999 channels on Colossus and whatever ATSC channels you scanned. All the guide will be populated by epg123 so no needed funny business.

Am I not remembering what you guys need to do correctly? Does that sound right?

Makes more sense now, hit the elevated Colossus button between "Step 1 Clean Start" and "Step 2 Windows Media Center TV Setup" so then setup proceeds like normal and it's obvious when the scan finds 10,000+ channels. Well perhaps not obvious... it kind of sputters along but let it fully finish before going on to "Step 3" for the download and automatch. Simple and straightforward.

The "z" channels also look and work great. They now drop below all occupied channels when sorting by name so the channel editor is much more usable.

I think we're close to 1.0 now. This Colossus fix is amazing.
With the first beta I didn't know where to find or how to predict the software tuner GUID ... obviously do now, so we can do a pre-setup on the tuner to simply perform a normal TV setup. So Colossus users just have a minor additional step to reap all the benefits.

Memory still refreshing, but I think all you need to do set your location to be US with any US postal code to get the ATSC channels. epg123 makes it so you don't care if that is correct since we are getting your guide information from somewhere else.

Update on the Colossus/HDPVR front ... we're looking pretty good. Found an issue that appears to be related with WMC background channel scanning. We are currently testing out some registry edits that should prevent this (the result was all 9999 channels were reenabled in the guide).

I'm also looking at incorporating a method as described by Scallica here. A very patient tester for the Colossus fix could really benefit from it.

Dish is running MGMHD Channel 385 and FXM Channel 384 free through August 30th. I went into EGP123 GUI and enabled those 2 channels and clicked "Save & Execute". When I try to view the channels I get "Viewing or Listening Conflict". Any ideas?

I'm assuming you are using a Colossus, so need to know how your system was setup. First and foremost, did you do a clean install and use the Colossus button in the GUI to get 9999 channels?

I did a clean install.

At the time when I did the clean install I "rd c:\programdata\microsoft\ehome /s /q" as well as "rd c:\programdata\hauppauge /s /q". When I ran EPG123 in step 3, I only selected the channels that come with America 200 package I receive. I did not select channels for HBO, Cinemax, Starz, etc. thinking I would select them whenever there was a free preview period.

And that should work... at least there's no reason that it shouldn't. Have you verified the Dish box is giving an output on those channels? That's the only thing I can think of.

You might need to verify the tuner is enabled in the channel. I haven't pinned down the reason yet, but sometimes when I programmatically enable a channel, the tuners stay disabled.

You're correct. The turner was not enabled. This was the case for any channel I added after the initial install.

Just to be clear, to correct this I went to [Settings]=>[TV]=>[Guide]=>[Edit Channels].
I then selected the channel name that is not working. then: [Edit Sources]=>[Select turner]=>[Save]=>[Save]=>[Save]

Glad you're up and running. Looks like I'll add some code to ensure all tuners are enabled after I enable a channel. I don't have the bandwidth to isolate root cause on this one.

Barring any household moves, home renovations, home buying/selling activities, or server rebuilds ... I might be able to release a build this weekend. :D
