We are going abroad next month for two weeks and all I want my Media Center PC to do is record the handful of shows that are scheduled. I will not need it to update the schedule every day since it will have 20 days of schedule already. Is the best way to put it in the non-download mode to simply uncheck the 'wake' box or do I need to reset the 'update time' to 00:00?
TIA

I wouldn't change a thing if it is working for you already. Remember the farther out from today the "fuzzier" the guide data is.

All the shows are premium cable and won't change. I don't run this PC 24/7 and on four days of the week there are no scheduled recordings so I would rather let it sleep on those days than do an unneeded schedule updateSammy2 wrote:I wouldn't change a thing if it is working for you already. The easiest way would be to just delete the task and recreate it when you get back. If you don't want to do that, or have done some customization of the task, then disabling it in Task Scheduler will do the trick. You'll just have to remember to turn it back on when you get back.
