Trouble with logos

#1

Post by rimmel » Sat Mar 17, 2018 1:29 am

I started using SD logos about two months ago. All I did was check the box in the EPG123 configuration panel labeled "Include station logos from Schedule Direct". The next time I ran EPG123 the logos appeared in my guide grid and all was well. However, recently I noticed that some channels have incorrect logos. I contacted SD and they claim to have corrected the logos, but when I run EPG123 after these corrections were made I still get the old logos in the guide grid. I noticed that the logo files in C:\epg123\logos have file dates that are two months old. So it appears that none of the .png files have changed/updated since I first started to use them. How do I retrieve corrected/updated logos?

I would assume that deleting the old logo from the logos folder will cause the new ones to be downloaded the next time an update is performed, but I guess wait for Gary to give the definitive answer. As for it automatically detecting when the logo on the server changes and updating it, that is another question for Gary...

Space is correct. Delete the old logo from the .\logos folder and it will be downloaded again presumably with the updated logo.

Because I use the call sign as the logo file name, I never know if/when the logo has been updated. In order to allow custom logos, this is the way it's going to have to be.

I did as you suggested and deleted just the .png files for the logos that changed from the .\logos directory. Then I reran epg123 and the updated logos were retrieved and displayed in my guide grid. Thanks for all your help guys!
