I have done a "Clean Setup" through the Client program and reinstalled the latest v1.1.25 of EPG 123. After opening the EPG 123 "non client" program I have edited my channel lineup by checking and unchecking the various channel boxes that I want. I click "Save & Execute" and all of the progress bars go through their normal process concluding with 100% "Import Guide Data". But WMC has no data showing channel numbers, which will tune to programs, but no names, logos and showing not available for program names in the guide.
As I look things over to try to see what may be wrong I notice that the "Scheduled Task" area is grayed out. It is grayed out on the "client" program as well and on the non client program The "Delete button" shows and is not grayed out. I have clicked on it but it doesn't clear out the old grayed out task so that I can reset it, the Delete button remains and I do not get the Create button. I have an active subscription to Schedules Direct with a date in the future indicating its expiration date.
So my first question is how do I get the new data into WMC? Secondly, Does the scheduled task function have something to do with my problem?
Any help is appreciated.
No particular order ...
If you see a Delete button, that means the task is already created (probably left over from previous usage). In order to Create/Delete tasks you need to be running as administrator which is why you see the shield on the button. Clicking a button with a shield will close the program and open back up as administrator and the button(s) will no longer have the shield. At that point, you can click the button again to actually execute the Create/Delete.
For guide listings, it sounds to me you don't have the listings associated with the guide channels. Open the client GUI and click the Match by: [# Number] button to automatically link the listings and channels together. If you have any custom numbers then before you do the match, click the [Custom Labels] button to read [Original Labels].
