Do you mean if no recordings in the zip file?

hmmm. I thought I had fixed that before I released 1.1.18. I'll check again.

Thanks.

Just used it between two machines and worked well - well done.
Of course you need to be on V18 to have the Database back-up utility button on the client - but all good going forward.
Would it be an idea to have the recording backup restore available via a button on the client?

Yah, I've thought about it. Just need to find a way to put it on there and be aesthetically pleasing. It will definitely be somewhere if I make it a part of the standard install.

Should it be a sub menu off the restore button , so one can choose what we're restoring?
Perhaps giving a choice of other selective restore components?

Right now it is simply looking like the below. I think making it a sub menu will effectively hide it from the user.

There are 3 files as part of the backup/restore.

lineup.mxf which has all your tuner setups, custom channel names and numbers, and lineup subscriptions.
recordings.mxf which has all your schedule recording requests.
subscriptions.mxf which has mostly information pertaining to the features that have been removed from WMC (sports, nettv, broadband, ...) I don't think anything in this file has any benefit in WMC as it is today.

So only 2 of the files mean anything, and 1 of those is the recordings.

Hi Gary
Fine, I didn't know what the components were.
When might V19 appear?

Hopefully within the next couple days. There's a couple more things I want to iron out.

Everything looking good on your setups?

Hi Gary
She who must be obeyed doesn't like the channel logos that now appear instead of the channel numbers in WMC's guide - how do I get rid of them please?

There is a button on the Tweak WMC window to remove all channel logos. In order to keep them from being included in the next update, you will need to uncheck the 'Include station logos from Schedules Direct' option in the configuration GUI.

The numbers should still be there unless you selected the 'Hide channel numbers' in the Tweak WMC windows. With channel logos, you no longer see the station call signs.

Give me a sec ... I'll update the beta clients on the server. I may have fixed that already.

Presumably I have to remove the _w7 just before the exe, just adding it to the C EPG123 folder and running it, it opens and then exits with a windows error saying stopped working

Yah, in order to remove the logos you do. It starts another instance of itself (epg123Client.exe) to remove the logos ... if the file name is different then it will fail.

Oh darn ... hold on a sec. Some things I have to make sure of for the Win7 builds.

Wow, you two guys are on fire! I'll sit back and wait for the next build but if there's anything I should be trying in the meantime to 'contribute' then let me know.

Looks like Automatch is going to be a good option to unselect for me, unless I decide to ditch DVB-S (or DVB-T).

Thanks for all your efforts,

Glenn

Yep that's better, hit the default button within the Tweak and all sizes back to normal.
So I'll use this client beta with V18 main exe and Rovi import - take a break :-)
