EPG123 cache directory and files

I may have missed a discussion on this, if so I apologize, but I happened to look in the \cache directory and saw 67,047 files. Is this normal? should I delete some of them, looks like the dates go back to when I first installed EPG123.

Thanks

Everything in the cache folder is all the data used to create the mxf file to import into WMC. EPG123 will delete all expired/out-of-date files in the cache folder upon completion of an update run (all files in the cache folder are current). This allows the update/download time from Schedules Direct to be much shorter on next update.

If you delete the files, EPG123 will just simply download them again and save in the cache folder.

Thanks Gary,

I just did not expect over 64,000 files in cache, some of them dated from April of last year!

:)

Well, that's impressive. Those files are more than likely series descriptions for shows that are always on and/or in syndication. Also, they will be your generic paid programming files. The files probably start with 'SH'.
