Task schedule keeps getting disabled
Just started with epg123. Liking it very much so far.
Trying to set up the task scheduler so the latest guides can be downloaded. Thing is, if I have it set to ready, then at some point, it goes disabled.
I have the schedule set for 3am.
If I don't start EPG123 or EPG123Client, I see an "Access Denied". if I run as administrator, it seems to be OK (except for the task getting disabled).
I'm running Windows 10 if that matters.
Am I doing everything right or not (by running as Administrator)??
Thanks!

This sounds familiar... are you, by any chance, running an Avast AV product? If so, read on...
Recent updates introduced an issue with 'Game Mode' "temporarily" disabling potential interruptions (scheduled tasks), but failing to restore them afterwards. While they claim to have released a bugfix, it didn't work for me. My solution was to disable (or completely uninstall) the Game Mode module. AND re-enabling all the disabled tasks you wish to run.

If this isn't your issue, sorry to waste your time.

Open the Avast console & select 'Settings' (lower-left).
Select 'Components' & scroll to the bottom of the page. It's the last item. You can opt to either disable, or uninstall the component. I made it go away as it offered little to my experience.

^ that all sounds interesting. Would definitely like to know if it is the issues.
For Win10, the only way to see the status of the task is to run the EPG123 program with elevated rights. MS screwed up the task scheduler in the anniversary update which made my 2 action tasks (create mxf and import mxf) only run the first action. To make it work, I needed to create the task with the NETWORK SERVICE which meant that normal privilege accounts couldn't see the status.
EDIT: Actually, I need to make sure the recent Fall update to Win10 didn't break it further. To Be Continued...

Gary, are you trying to support EPG123 on Windows 10 even though it doesn't include or support WMC? You're brave and generous.

OK Turning off Avast Game Mode solved my issue.
