is there a way to backup/restore the recording schedule in EPG123? Time to format c:
I've used this http://www.seanmauch.com/seans-wmc-backup/ in the past but wasn't sure if it would work with EPG123?
Thanks

Open an elevated command prompt and run "C:\Windows\ehome\mcupdate.exe -u -manual -nogc" to force a backup of WMC recording requests.
The file you are looking for is located in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\eHome\mcepgX-Y\backup\recordings (X=2 for Win7, 3 for Win8+). Copy the most recent file in that folder to somewhere safe and rename it to recordings.mxf. The filename will be basically a datetime stamp without any extension, but is actually an xml file with all your recording requests.
After you get WMC setup with EPG123 again, just use the client GUI to import the recordings.mxf file... or you could use the transfer tool to import the requests. The tool is the best solution since it automatically kicks off the pvr reindexing after the import. The tool will also leave all the old inactive recording requests behind which are also in the recordings.mxf file.

Sweet.. glad to hear this is in the update pipeline for EPG123. Ok I'll do what you posted above. PC has been acting odd for a bit so I'm wiping and reinstalling.. hopefully that sorts out all my woes..
