Guide search finds no programs

#1

Post by StinkyImp » Mon Sep 04, 2017 2:02 pm

This is a strange one... I only found out that it wasn't working this morning when I tried to add a new show.

For years my process for adding a recording was to go to "add recording" -> "Search" -> "Title". This morning that didn't work.

I can search by "Guide" and "Wish List or Keyword" and find the program, but not by searching the "Title". I'd prefer this to using the wish list/keyword or guide method because the former method records unrelated programs that mention the actual show and the other method is just cumbersome...

I tried this using various shows that I knew existed in the guide and could add them using the other methods, but the title search comes up empty every time.

Any thoughts or solutions?

Additional Info:
Windows 7 x64
EPG123 v 1.1.15
Been using EPG123 since v 1.0.0

Note: I chose 'Star Trek' for this example because there should have been at least a hundred results...

Have you disabled indexing (Windows Search)?

The other possibility is your search index has been corrupted. Go to Control Panel/Indexing Options, select Windows Media Center and click the [Advanced] button, in the new window, click the [Rebuild] button.
