Duplicate Channels - Cannot remove one

Comcast (Comcast - Digital, San Jose) recently renumbered their stations presumably to eventually standardize the station numbers across the US. I think I'd like to migrate to the new numbers since this happened and had some other issues with my tuners leading to scheduling problems. Anyway, is there a way to uncheck one of the stations when downloading and updating.

The reason is the EPG123 interface is much easier to do this than interactively in WMC itself. Next I've had to reinitialize my tuners 2 times in past week which reset all of the stations so I'd like to avoid needing to do that again if it needs another reset.

To be clearer: What I see in EPG123 is:

Code: Select all

Call sign Channel StationID Name
[x] MNBCHD 787 64241 MSNBC HD
[x] MNBCHD 1113 64241 MSNBC HD
If I uncheck one they both are unchecked so I cannot remove 787 from the list and only have 1113 going forward. (Running EPG 1.0.2 so not sure if v1.1.10 addresses this please let me know if it does and I'll update). Also maybe this doesn't make sense and I really have to do this each time in the WMC channel list.

When selecting stations in the configuration gui, you are determining whether to download that station regardless of the channel it is on, or the lineup it is in. This is one thing that is a bit getting used to, but it is much easier to control and manage... and really doesn't make anything more difficult once you understand that is how it works.

The method to do what you want is to select MNBCHD which will match to channels 787 and 1113. In the epg123 client gui, you can click channel 787 to disable the channel in WMC ... effectively doing what you want. In the client GUI, you can select multiple channels at the same time and enable/disable with the space bar to do it in bulk which is much, much quicker than what you can do in WMC.

Thanks. I had never run the client before as I did not seem to need it. It works fine.
